Accounting Specialist


LHH is working with a client in Grand Rapids, MI who is looking to add 3 accounting professionals to their growing team. These positions will be handling Payables and Receivables with some month end assistance. Candidates can be experienced without a degree or inexperienced with a degree.


These positions are temp to hire and will pay in the $18-$20/hr. range.


Job Duties:

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices for payment
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues or invoicing discrepancies
  • Assist in weekly check runs
  • Review and process employee expense reports
  • Apply incoming payments to open invoices and research and resolve unapplied payments
  • Contact customers when their accounts are past due
  • Assist with month end and account reconciliation
  • Additional duties as requested by management

  • Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or bachelor’s in accounting or Finance is preferred
  • If no degree, at least 3+ years of experience in accounting
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • MUST have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
