The Production Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth Manufacturing and production operations.
This position involves *Developing, monitoring, and adjusting production schedules to meet customer demands and operational capacity.
Collaboration with production managers, customer service, and purchasing is essential, along with providing accurate reports and recommendations to peers and leadership.
Spending time on the manufacturing floor identifying and reporting production issues and deficiencies
*The ideal candidate should have strong data analysis skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and effective communication across teams.
Contributes to the company's goals for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key accountabilities include:
Developing and monitoring production planning,
Coordinating and communicating with relevant departments
Generating and presenting accurate reports on production performance.
Identify variances when it comes to production issues
Execute Continuous Improvement
Success measures include on-time completion of production work orders, reduction in last-minute changes due to misalignment, and 100% on-time report delivery.
Qualifications and responsibilities involve understanding each project's material and production requirements, collaborating with purchasing to ensure material availability, reviewing the impact of pending engineering change requests, considering work in process while developing plans, and creating visual displays for production floor metrics.
The role also supports bids by providing capacity estimates for future work.
Experience required includes the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
