Cost Analyst

Salary Range: $90k-110k
Responsibilities:

• Establish working relationships with operation personnel, providing clear and concise financial data and explaining results and financial drivers.

• Prepare financial models and reports for management and other leaders.

• Calculate and analyze breakeven points by plant and product.

• Create, validate, and support manufacturing KPIs.

• Analyze capital project requests for compliance with corporate policy, including ROI justification.

• Research inventory transactions to validate accuracy.

• Analyze actual manufacturing costs, comparing them to budgets and historical results, and effectively communicate findings.

• Analyze operating costs to identify trends and look for cost-saving initiatives. Devise and coordinate plans to reduce costs.

• Analyze, initiate, and implement best practices and procedures, identifying and eliminating manual processes.

• Establish financial controls and develop, test, and initiate strategies for auditing and testing programs and procedures.

• Provide cost accounting assistance as necessary.

• Leverage business intelligence tools (BI) to effectively help in day-to-day management.

• Manage multiple projects/assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Resolve complex accounting issues and identify accounting errors and discrepancies.

• Coordinate and collaborate with business units to understand end-user needs and requirements.

Qualification Requirements:

Must Haves:

• BS in Accounting

• 5+ years of Cost Accounting/Analysis in Manufacturing

• Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, or Distribution

Nice to Haves:

• CPA/CMA

• Cost Accounting experience in an Engineering to Order Environment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Advanced Excel user with an intermediate understanding of Power BI.

• In-depth understanding of the manufacturing process from quote to ship.

• Analytical skills to design efficient workflows and procedures.
