LHH is seeking an HR GENERALIST for a direct hire position in Downtown Houston, TX.

JOB SCOPE:

This position is responsible for supporting The Company HR department, including but not limited to Human Resources responsibilities and other tasks as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains Human Resources records by maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs
  • Enrolls new employees by issuing forms and applications and verifying completion
  • Coordinates the annual performance review process with the Leadership team. Ensures communications around changes in salary and cash bonus payments occur.
  • Manages benefits program and vendor relationships. Assists employees with questions, issues and enrollment in benefits plans.
  • Maintains database of employee records as well as all active and inactive applications.
  • Conducts initial screening interviews and contacts references to verify background.
  • Conducts all new-hire orientations.
  • Assists with the development of new-hire training material.
  • Works directly with our third-party vendor to assist out-of-state employees with relocation.
  • Coordinates flight, car and hotel arrangements for candidate interviews.
  • Contributes to ongoing recruiting efforts as needed.
  • Mitigates employee relation issues while adhering to company, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of all HR-related information.
  • Continually works with department to streamline the hiring process and improve internal policies.
  • Assist Controller with accounting duties when needed
  • Support development team in project organization when needed
  • Assist Office Manager with administrative tasks when needed
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in business, human resources, organizational leadership or related field is preferred
  • Ability to maintain employee confidentiality
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • SKILLS:

  • Highly proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • HRIS experience a plus
  • ATS experience a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HR, preferably with a start-up company
  • EMPLOYMENT TYPE: direct hire

    COMPENSATION: $65,000-85,000 annually DOE + 10% annual discretionary bonus + $150/month parking allowance

    WORK HOURS: HYBRID à 2 days remote & 3 days onsite (M-F, flex 9 AM-5 PM)
