Accounting Manager-Direct Hire-Hybrid Schedule


Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage a property management accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the commercial real estate sector, with a particular focus on property management. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Financial Reporting:



    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for property management portfolios.


    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies.


  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:



    • Assist in the development and monitoring of property budgets and financial forecasts.


    • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.


  3. Account Reconciliation:



    • Oversee reconciliation of property management accounts, including bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and vendor accounts.


    • Resolve discrepancies and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.


  4. Accounts Payable/Receivable:



    • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including the review and approval of invoices, and ensure timely payment to vendors and collection from tenants.


    • Coordinate with property managers to address billing and payment issues.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


  • Minimum of 7 years in commercial property accounting within the commercial real estate industry.


  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate accounting principles and property management practices.


  • Proficient in accounting software and property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms).


  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.


  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
