Senior Accountant-Hybrid Schedule-Direct Hire
Job Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting functions related to various projects. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of project accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with managers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Accounting Management: Oversee the financial aspects of assigned projects, including cost tracking, budget management, and financial reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, perform variance analysis, and forecast future financial performance.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements and reports for project performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Invoice Processing: Manage project billing and accounts receivable, including the preparation and review of client invoices.
Cost Control: Monitor and analyze project costs, ensuring they are within budget and identifying any discrepancies.
Compliance: Ensure that all financial activities related to projects comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support project decision-making.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role, with a proven track record of managing projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
