Senior Property Accountant-Direct Hire-Hybrid Schedule

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join a dynamic team. This role combines the critical responsibilities of financial management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including month-end close, journal entries, and CAM reconciliations.

  • Prepare financial statements and variance analyses for senior management review.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to property operations.

  • Collaborate with property managers and operational teams to provide financial insights and support.

  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

  • Support external audits and tax preparation efforts.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting property accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property accounting or commercial real estate finance required

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and MS Excel.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
