LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant for our healthcare client located in the Heights area of Houston. This position will be a contract opportunity and 100% onsite, full-time role with our client.

The role involves maintaining the general ledger, conducting account reconciliations, and preparing adjusting entries. Responsibilities include handling payroll, employee benefits, and collaborating on grant payroll allocation. The position also requires reviewing financial entries, identifying control issues, and assisting with grants budget compliance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field required
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience
• Proficiency Abila software desired, not required, as well as Microsoft Office/Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multitask throughout the day and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well within multiple software systems
• Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines
