Staff Accountant

We’re currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant in the Houston TX area. Our client is a growing real estate company looking to hire as soon as possible. Most qualified candidates will need to have experience with job cost accounting, month end close, and GL account reconciliations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct month and year end close processes

• Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting

• Conduct job costing, billings and construction draws

• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and research and resolve accounting issues

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Bank account reconciliations

• Conduct regular general ledger maintenance

• Post AR payments and new project set up

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience in Accounting and/or Finance

• Bachelor’s in accounting

• Understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
