LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client in Independence, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, specifically within the real estate or property management industry. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, proven leadership skills, and expertise in Yardi software.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.


  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.


  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.


  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support.


  • Coordinate with property managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.


  • Utilize Yardi software for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.


  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.


  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.


  • Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.


  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a team.


  • Expertise in Yardi software is required.


  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
