A leading healthcare provider in the Indianapolis area is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Medical Front Office Coordinator to join their team. This is a confidential opportunity managed by a third-party recruitment partner on behalf of the employer.
Position Overview:
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in delivering a smooth and welcoming front office experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and values accuracy, professionalism, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Answer phones, route calls, and respond to inquiries
- Support clinical and administrative teams with daily operations
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic office software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification is a plus
- Competitive hourly pay between $20 and $26, based on experience
