Labor & Employment Attorney

Location: Can sit in one of the following office locations: San Diego, Irvine, Downtown Los Angeles, Ontario, Carlsbad, or Oxnard
Pay: Up to $80 per hour

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire, Full-Time, Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week

LHH is working with a large national firm in seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney for a contract-to-hire opportunity to join their firm in one of their Southern California offices. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of labor and employment defense litigation experience, with a strong ability to support senior attorneys in managing all phases of litigation. This role is hybrid with two days per week onsite. Candidates should be based in or near the assigned office location and able to commute weekly. The position offers hands-on litigation work and potential for long-term employment with the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with employment litigation matters, including wage & hour claims, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation cases.

  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and memoranda.

  • Participate in strategy discussions, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

  • Support trial preparation and attend court appearances as needed.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in California.

  • 2–3 years of experience in labor & employment litigation.

  • Strong writing, analytical, and case management skills.

  • Able to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.

  • Familiarity with California employment law and litigation procedures.



Pay Details: $55.00 to $80.00 per hour
