Senior Accountant (Up to $92K)

Responsibilities:

Collaborate and manage Bookkeepers, Accounting Assistants, Accountants and Junior Accountants

Plan, assign and review staff’s work

Prepare financial reports, maintain general ledgers, prepare/assist with tax returns and tax audits

Perform account reconciliations and other accounting duties

Reconcile account balances and bank statements

Assist and collaborate with team on accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks

Uses analytical skills to analyze financial reports, forecasts and summarize financial status

Find errors, suggests improvements, and produce error-free accounting reports in order to successfully present results

Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

Participate and make suggestions in financial standards setting and in forecast processing

Collaborate and provide input into department’s goal setting process

Work with Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures

Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule

Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

Perform other duties required

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

3 to 5 years of Accounting experience

Confidence in managing a team, running reports, and understanding software systems

Awareness of business trends and experience with general ledger functions

Advanced in QuickBooks, MS Excel (including Vlookups and pivot tables)

Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) are preferred
