Lead the benefits open enrollment process each year; make recommendations with metrics for new and/or updated plans
Provide back up and support for our payroll department, assisting in payroll file audits throughout the year
Process leaves of absence and maintain an effective tracking system (FMLA, disability, Military leave, etc.), and respond and process related paperwork for compliance.
Respond timely to unemployment claims and represent the company for unemployment hearings as needed.
Understand all information surrounding benefits, 401k and lead open enrollment meetings and compliance with all issues surrounding the benefit plans
Ensure benefits information is updated in the HRIS
Ensure consistent administration of HR policies and practices within the organization. Assist leaders and employees in resolving benefits and policy related issues.
Complete EEO and other quarterly and annual reporting for compliance purposes
Ensure the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local leave requirements in the United States; stay up-to-date on evolving legislation and recommend, communicate, and implement changes when necessary.
Monitor and analyze trends related to employee inquiries and feedback; improve processes and develop innovative, alternative solutions to deliver a frictionless employee leave experience.
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive, and effective leave resources for employees and managers.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for HR initiatives that may involve an employee leave of absence component.
Serve as point of contact for escalated and/or complex employee leave issues in order to provide an optimal employee experience; utilize expert communication skills to ensure employees and managers clearly understand leave policies and practices as needed.
Partner with staff members and external counsel for all immigration matters including requests for work visas and green cards
Perform other HR duties and projects as required

Qualifications:
3-5 year’s experience in benefits administration for
Expert knowledge in FMLA, STD, and state leave laws
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
Advanced analytical and research skills
