Property Accountant | Kansas City, MO
LHH is partnering with a client in the Kansas City area who is seeking a Property Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, conducting property budgeting, and preparing tax returns for each property. They should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, property management, and real estate law. Responsibilities:
Intercompany billing
Bank account and credit card reconciliations
Journal entries, including payroll
General Ledger Review
Monthly Tenant billing
Record rent payments and parking fees, via ACH and check
Review delinquency reports, AP aging
Process Accounts payable and weekly check runs
Monthly management fee calculations
Yearly and monthly CAM
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Property Accountant or similar role.
Knowledge of accounting laws and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, Timberline (Sage), Spectra, QuickBooks, MRI, and MS Office.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, decision-making, and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with property managers, outside audit partners, and executive leadership.

Compensation: $60-75,000 annually
Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
