Senior Financial Planning Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions (formerly Parker + Lynch) is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst with a minimum of 4 years of financial analysis experience to join a reputable non-profit in Kansas City, MO. The individual will provide financial analysis and grant support. This position will also assist in budget processes, forecasting, financial modeling and providing support for grantmaking and legal agreement processes.

Responsibilities

Grantmaking Support:

Review and assess grants.

Assist in the grantmaking and programmatic budget processes.

Review grants and legal agreements to ensure financial/budgetary alignment.

Review legal agreement risk inputs to provide insight to appropriate assessment.

Ensure grants follow IRS regulations and Foundation-wide policies.

Financial Analysis Support:

Provide support to Finance with analytic or quantitative models.

Provide consultative support regarding annual budget and quarterly forecast processes.

Participate in monthly meetings with assigned program area(s) to review financial and operational data.

Analyze and review monthly financial statements and future commitments to provide budget-to-actual variance analysis and trend analysis to inform future forecasts.

Identify and communicate process improvement efforts as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

Possess at least four years of experience that demonstrates solid knowledge of analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, and budgeting.

Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, business management, finance, or related degree is preferred

Possess excellent skills in math, finance and computer software including pivot tables, macros, database skills, and data entry

Must have superior communication, strong problem solving and analytical skills
