Job Title: Leasing Assistant (Low-Income Housing)

Location: Kirkland, WA


Job Type: Contract to hire



We are seeking a dedicated and organized Leasing Assistant to support our property management team in leasing low-income housing units in Kirkland, WA. This role involves working closely with applicants, current residents, and the management team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. The Leasing Assistant will assist in administrative tasks, resident relations, and the application process, ensuring compliance with housing regulations and policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist prospective residents with the application process, including explaining requirements and helping with documentation for income-qualified housing.

  • Manage leasing files and ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, and up to date.

  • Coordinate apartment showings, move-ins, and move-outs with current and prospective tenants.

  • Provide excellent customer service to current residents, addressing questions or concerns and escalating issues as needed.

  • Maintain knowledge of low-income housing regulations and work with compliance staff to ensure all leasing activities meet requirements.

  • Help create and maintain resident communication and notices, including rental reminders, community events, and policy updates.

  • Support the property management team with general administrative duties such as answering phones, filing, and responding to emails.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in property management, leasing, or affordable housing programs preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of local housing laws and affordable housing regulations is a plus.



Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
