LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company in the Lake Sucess area that is looking to hire for a Sourcing Project Manager on a Permanent/Direct Hire basis. Job Summary: This role would report into their Sr. Manager Global Sourcing

1. Customer Experience

  • Actively communicate directly with Customers and Sales
  • Consistently deliver excellent customer experience to internal and external customers
  • Approach each scenario with a "How Can I Help You?" mentality
  • Participate in departmental and company-wide
  • 2. Continuous Process Improvement initiatives

  • Actively participate in establishing a departmental culture that is service quality driven, and deploys a nimble “speed to market” philosophy
  • Build teamwork by supporting and engaging colleagues Product Development and Sourcing
  • Source, negotiate and deliver pricing, samples, and packaging solutions for non corrugated projects
  • Research products and source new vendors as needed
  • Partner with vendors for recommendations on the best materials, specifications, and quality
  • Plan and execute strategies that will deliver cost, quality, and service improvement for our Company and Customers
  • Calculate price analysis for new products and portfolio reviews
  • Manage price changes based on indexes and market conditions Vendor Management
  • Build and manage relationships with established vendor base
  • Establish relationships with new vendors
  • Negotiate with vendors to improve pricing and service levels
  • Research and evaluate vendor requirements, capabilities, and location
  • Manage the internal Vendor Setup process Cross-Functional
  • Work closely with all departments to deliver the best outcomes
  • Participate in training to expand knowledge & develop subject matter expertise is in the production process, technical requirements, and vendor capabilities
  • Train others in process, procedures & industry knowledge
  • 3. Core Behaviors Knowledge

  • Experience and understanding of various packaging types and substrates preferred. (ie. plastics; polybags, bottles, caps, stretch wrap, shrink wrap, film, foil, tape, labels, equipment, etc.) Skills/Abilities
  • Proven track record of successful project development
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent analytical aptitude for evaluation and to generate innovative solutions
  • Ability to effectively source utilizing all available resources
  • Excellent negotiation skills to achieve the most competitive prices and the best available service
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to take direction, follow it, check in proactively and work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage timelines and prioritize responsibilities appropriately
  • Approach projects and deliverables with a sense of urgency
  • Organize and maintain documentation with a high degree of detail
  • Develop in-depth working knowledge of customer accounts and requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate Experience
  • Qualificiations Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Packaging, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience within project management, vendor management, and/or product development
  • 3+ years of vendor cost and price analysis
  • A strong analytical thinker who can interpret data to support decision making situations
  • A confident negotiator
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Construct and deliver concise and clear oral and written communication
  • Organize and maintain documentation with a high level of detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
