Sr. Level Accounting Consultant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Consultant for a company in Lansing, MI. Your mission would be to plan and direct the accounting operations. Generation of periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records. Keep a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This company is looking for someone to start immediately who is able to jump right in with little to no training!

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the company's accounting policies and procedures, and system of accounts, keeping records on all company transactions, assets, and liabilities.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly Financial Statements, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows.

Forecasting and budgeting

Month and year end close procedures

Controls the variable costs and fixed expenses of the company.

Calculates, reports, and submits the Company's Local, State, and Federal tax declarations.

Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Education: B.A./B.Sc. in Accounting

Experience: 5 years in accounting, financial statements preparation, financial reporting, cost accounting, accounting systems implementation. Experience with database software is a plus.

Manufacturing experience is a MUST (at least 5 years in manufacturing)

Languages: English.

Skills & Competencies:

Attention to detail, ability to work in a deadline driven environment, multi-tasking, motivated, self-starter, strong quantitative and analytical, expert level in Excel, comprehensive knowledge a big ERP software.
