Job Title: Senior Accountant

About the Role:
A leading global food solutions provider is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join its North American finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, supporting audits, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Analyze financial data and variances to provide actionable insights.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and process improvements.
Prepare and file sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory reports.
Maintain the integrity of financial records and internal controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or food industry.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000, an anticipated bonus of us to 10%, commission based upon a written compensation plan.
