Contracts Administrator

An academic publishing company in Orange County is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their legal department! This position is a full-time, permanent, and on-site position with great benefits and work culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, draft, and amend a variety of contracts, mainly publishing agreements
  • Manage and track full-cycle process of contracts and agreements
  • Risk assessment of contract terms
  • Establish client contracts management system in sales channels
  • Track and perform copyright registrations
  • Track contract terms concerning licensing revenue and bill accordingly
  • Input rights and royalty documentation into software system
  • Keep billing department well-informed of agreement terms for timely execution of payment
  • Document internal processes across departments
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contracts management in publishing industry
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Able to work efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Paralegal experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
