Payroll Specialist (Long Term Contract)


We are seeking an immediate need of a Payroll Specialist for a well-known Entertainment company in West LA. The Payroll Specialist will take direction from the Payroll Director to process payroll for the bi-weekly payroll system.


Responsibilities:



  • Timely and accurate completion of weekly, bi-weekly and quarterly time and attendance tracking and data entry


  • Manually entering hours into Paycom


  • Assisting with audits and cross check payroll processes.


  • Assisting with end-user training for new hires, timekeepers, and cost center managers.


  • Researching reported Clock Issues


  • Monitoring employee status changes and the impact on their benefits


  • Responding to employee e-mails and phone calls


  • Performing other duties as assigned


You are the perfect person if you have the following skills:



  • 3+ years of payroll experience


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office


  • Paycom software is a plus


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes and continuously exceed or meet deadlines.


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must


  • Interact effectively with multiple levels of management within the organization


  • Work independently and collaboratively


  • Knowledge of wage and hour regulations, tax laws affecting payroll, and regulations on processing withholding and support orders


This is a long-term contract position and is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to continue their payroll career within the Entertainment industry.
