Property Accountant

Our client, a commercial real estate firm based in Downtown Los Angeles is looking to hire a Property Accountant on a contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of property accounting experience (either commercial or residential). The Property Accountant will be responsible for the full cycle accounting process for an assigned portfolio of properties.

Job Duties:

Perform journal entry postings to general ledgers

Prepare bank account reconciliations,

Manage the accounting for a portfolio of 1-5 commercial properties

Oversee Accounts Payable, Accruals and Accounts Receivable for portfolio

Update monthly and annual accounting /finance calendars

Prepare monthly financial statements for assignment properties

Skills:

3+ years of accounting experience in similar role

Degree highly preferred

Prior property/real estate accounting experience

Excellent communication skills
