Payroll Specialist




Payroll Specialist – Healthcare – Louisville Kentucky – Tempt to Hire – Onsite – $17-$18/ hour


Position Requirements:

  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • PERSONALITY IS THE #1 PIECE TO THIS POSITION!!!! They are open to people with 0 payroll experience. Strong admins, data entry, etc is all great. They are a bubbly team that likes to have fun!
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel required.
  • Strong analytical, customer service, and organizational skills required.
  • Flexibility with working hours near payroll deadlines to include nights and weekends required.
  • Associates degree or Technical Training preferred.
  • 1-3 years of payroll or data entry experience preferred.
  • Experience using a payroll software system (preferred ADP)

  • Job Description Summary

  • Provides support to the payroll department and ensures the timely and accurate processing of payroll records by compiling, organizing, and entering data into the payroll system.
  • Entering and maintaining all payroll-related information, for a variety of employee types.
  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll processes, including issuing manual checks, handling garnishments and child support orders, etc.

  • Essential Responsibilities

  • Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes financial information.
  • Researches and resolves payroll problems and discrepancies.
  • Enters employee maintenance, runs payroll process, prepares reports, calculates manual checks, issues stop payments.
  • Stay current with system updates and changes.
  • Ensure payroll integrity through audit reports, data analysis and collaboration with other team members.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
