Accounting Manager

Our client, a large real estate corporation, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their successful company. If you have 5+ years of accounting experience, public accounting and/or corporate real estate background, we should talk as this is a top Long Island corporation that can offer professional development and future advancement. You will handle month end close, financial reporting and day to day accounting operations for an assigned portfolio of properties. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary of $115 to $125,000 plus a bonus and full benefits including 401k, tuition reimbursement. This is a hybrid role, in the office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities will include:
· Manage a team in the day to day and month/quarter end close for assigned property portfolios
· Oversight of preparation and review of GAAP workpapers
· Liaise with internal and external resources on audit, compliance matters
· Ad-hoc reporting as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· 5+ years of accounting experience in the real estate industry
· CPA Preferred, but not required
· Strong Excel skills required and experience with an ERP system preferred
· Ability to work well as an individual, desire to take the lead as needed
