Product Development Manager

Location: Melville, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
Experience: 5+ Years in Product Development within a Manufacturing Environment

Position Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Product Development Manager to lead the design, development, and launch of new products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for bringing ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams through the full product development lifecycle—from concept to commercialization.

• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations to define product requirements and specifications.

• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful product launches.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy.

• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Continuously improve product development processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within a manufacturing environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Management, or a related field.

• Proven track record of launching successful products.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Proficiency in CAD software, product lifecycle management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PMP certification.

• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

• Familiarity with consumer goods or industrial product development
