LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our corporate services client in Mercer County, NJ. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, after an initial onsite training period. You will be responsible for performing comprehensive audit procedures to ensure adherence to in-house policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience within the Audit and Assurance practice of a public accounting firm, servicing clients within non-profit, governmental and/or municipalities. A successful candidate will have an analytical mindset and the ability to discover, research, and audit for preparation of audit reports and recommendations for change. This role offers great exposure and high growth, reporting into an Audit Manager and working with a small team.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough compliance audits in accordance with in-house policies and procedures, and rules and regulations.
  • Evaluate and analyze internal processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Audit Manager and a small team to develop and implement audit strategies.
  • Identify and assess risks within the organization and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience within the Audit and Assurance practice of a public accounting firm.
  • Experience auditing non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, or municipalities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, research, and resolve complex compliance issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present audit findings clearly.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CFE are preferred but not required.

Compensation:


$90,000 - $95,000
