Assistant Controller

LHH is searching for an Assistant Controller in Southern Milwaukee for our reputable client. This role will be groomed to become Controller in the next few years as the company is continuously growing. The nice perk of this role is flexible working schedule with options to work from home 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute day to day operations for a team of accounting personnel.
  • Prepare and review financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and accounting policies.
  • Work closely with auditors.
  • Responsible for queries, fixing errors and issuing refunds as needed.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Review account and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain reporting for property, sales, and use tax; prepare 1099’s.
  • Various tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of management accounting practices and procedures.
  • Sales & use tax experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Employment Type: Full-time, salary.
