Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering the chance to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs. The position is fully onsite, providing the benefit of close team collaboration and direct mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure proper documentation
Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable
Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment issues
Qualifications:
2+ years of recent accounts payable experience
Strong understanding of general accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or healthcare setting
Knowledge of 3-way matching and ERP systems
