Location: Nashville, TN (Fully Onsite)
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering the chance to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs. The position is fully onsite, providing the benefit of close team collaboration and direct mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high-volume invoices in a timely and accurate manner

  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure proper documentation

  • Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies

  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable

  • Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies

  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment issues

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recent accounts payable experience

  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of 3-way matching and ERP systems
