Billing & Claims Coordinator
Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Full-time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing & Claims Coordinator to join a dynamic Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of paper and electronic medical claims, documentation verification, and collaboration across internal departments and external partners. The ideal candidate brings strong medical billing experience, knowledge of payer guidelines, and a commitment to compliance and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate paper and electronic claims (primary, secondary, tertiary) in a timely manner, in accordance with payer requirements.

  • Review and verify medical records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy for claim submission.

  • Monitor and analyze billing and claim reports to proactively identify and correct errors before submission.

  • Resolve claim filing issues and coordinate escalations with appropriate teams when necessary.

  • Organize, sort, scan, and route incoming correspondence and high-priority documentation related to claims.

  • Manage the mailing and indexing of checks, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), refund letters, and other administrative materials.

  • Update and maintain patient account notes and billing records in internal systems.

  • Collaborate with billing team members, insurance carriers, and clinical providers to resolve discrepancies and streamline workflows.

  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and all applicable privacy regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

  • Support ongoing administrative and billing-related projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to support team objectives and organizational goals.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.50 per hour
