Accountant in New York, New York

LHH (formerly Accounting Principals) is working with a company in Downtown NYC that is looking for an Accountant to add to their team.

Responsibilities:

Preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing invoices for classification accuracy

Assist with monthly forecasting and annual operating budget

Monthly closing process and account analysis including reporting on variances

Preparation of timely and accurate financial statements

Assist with internal and external audit and reporting process

Other projects as needed to support the Controller

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

3 -5 years of accounting experience

ERP experience and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Organized, detail oriented, and strong multi-tasking

Job Location: Downtown NYC

Work Hours: 8 – 5

Work Environment: Business Casual
