Accountant

Accounting principles is looking for an experienced Accountant to fill a position in the upper West side of NYC. The company is quickly expanding and looking for another accountant to grow with the organization. This candidate should have around 5 years of accounting experience and solid knowledge of AP and AR roles. This is a Hybrid position after training and will move quickly!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month/year end close
  • Prepare journal entries and GL analysis
  • Reconcile high volume of credit deposits
  • Prepare financial reports for review
  • Able to take on tasks including, auditing, fraud review, and issuing refunds
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Excel reporting
  • Analyze financial information
  • Forecasting, Budgeting is a plus
  • Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related industry
  • 5+ years experience
  • Excel experience (pivot tables, Vlookups)
  • Attention to detail
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal
