Position: Accounts Receivable Coordinator

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Real Estate & Property Management company to fill a temporary Accounts Receivable Coordinator position in New York, New York (Midtown). This will be a 3+ month role with potential to be extended longer term.

We are searching for a candidate that has worked in Real Estate previously and has used Yardi as this is a requirement from the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and processing incoming payments from tenants and payment assistant programs; Ensuring accurate application of payments

  • Setting up tenant escrow accounts and processing security deposit payments

  • Preparing tenant statements and sending out reminder emails as needed

  • Assisting with account reconciliation and analysis to ensure general ledger accounts are accurate and up to date

  • Collaborating with other members of the Accounting/Finance team on reconciliation work

  • Assisting with month-end reporting

  • Ad-hoc reports as requested by AR Manager

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree is preferred but not mandatory, experience in Real Estate sector is most important

Technical Skills/Soft Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience with Yardi from the Real Estate sector

  • Knowledge of Affordable Housing sector is a plus

  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, spread sheet building)

  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Schedule:

  • 5 days per week in office

Hours:

  • 9 - 5:30 PM (can work up to 40 hours per week, occasional overtime)

Employment Type:

  • 3+ month temporary position with possible extension as this team is very busy

Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
