IT Business Analyst II or III in New York, New York

An international law firm is looking to hire an IT Business Analyst II or III to join their team. This position will be responsible in gathering, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing business requirements into user stories that are easy to understand. As the IT Business Analyst, you will also be expected to develop and organize contect for multiple IT initiatives, work on a range of projects, and collaborate with different teams.

Responsibilities:

Work with lawyers and staff on producing innovative products.

Assess business processes, predict requirements, discover areas for improvement, and create solutions to be implemented.

Share ideas and findings by conducting meetings and presentations.

For Level III analyst: will guide the junior BAs.

Manage different enterprise knowledge system.

Manage and maintain competing resources and priorities.

Use creative and new communication methods to ensure staff have a full understanding of the business systems.

Head ongoing business processes reviews and create strategies of optimization.

Be updated on the latest IT advancements to modernize processes or systems.

Identify score and criteria of requirements analysis to outline outcome criteria and metrics.

Create requirements models and process diagrams to guide developers and project teams.

Ensure completion of projects on time and monitor deliverables.

Serve as point of communication between IT team members and stakeholders.

Update, execute, and manage procedures. (Level III analyst will lead this)

Perform types of testing (e.g. functional, user acceptance testing)

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related experience

At least 1-3 years demonstrated experience in business analysis for Level 2 analyst and at least 5-10 years preferred for Level 3 analyst

3-5 years experience in a professional services environment for Level 2 analyst, 5-10 years preferred for Level 3 analyst

IIBA BABOK working experience

Excellent organizational and communication skills

BA certification highly preferred for Level 3 analyst

Information systems experience in a client service-oriented environment
