Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager - Product Development


A Solution Provider Tech company is looking to hire a Technical Program Manager. You will lead the management and execution of the server platform program throughout the product lifecycle, driving design and development activities from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Architecture Marketing teams to successfully translate product specifications into program deliverables.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to develop and launch products on time based on product specifications
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of requirements definition.
  • Interact with sales organizations to communicate organizational information, strategies, and capabilities
  • Manage function enhancements, quality, and continuity of supply.
  • Manage the execution of engineering solutions, which can include: Printed Circuit Boards, Mechanical, Power, OS, FW, BIOS, Solution SW, tests, Diagnostics, and control of related vendors.
  • Ensure the manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability of designs.
  • Lead weekly software middle group conferences with cross-practical groups to talk about updates, and music progress, and make certain that this system is on course to satisfy upcoming milestones.
  • Identify and communicate program risks, define risk mitigation strategies, and implement appropriate hardware and software engineering solutions
  • Maintain documentation throughout the development cycle and disseminate project information to stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Publish appropriate metrics, such as KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), as requested by the Program or Technical Program Management Office.
  • Simplify BOM review sessions from the early stages of first prototype, all the way through product development to manufacturing.
  • Support engineering and configuration management teams to move BOMs through the pre-stage, prototype, pre-production, and production lifecycles.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science. Master preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Server Platform development, 6+ years with master's.
  • Understanding of x-86 server system architecture.
  • Excellent Cross-functional team management, articulate, collaborative, and adaptive communication style.
  • Understanding of System-level server platforms and how each component interacts with the system.
  • Project Management skills in developing schedules and tracking milestones.
