A company in the chemical manufacturing industry is looking to hire an IT Manager to join their team. The role will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operations of computer systems within costs, specifications, requirements, and timelines.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company’s IT and computer systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance and implementation of the company’s computing needs, supporting 100_ users, IT planning, deploying, and operations.
  • Grow relationships with external vendors and providers.
  • Be in charge of planning, organizing, controlling, and evaluating IT/electronic data operations.
  • Design, implement, and organize IT policies, systems, and processes.
  • Ensure the security of company’s data, backup systems, and network access.
  • Identify areas with issues and implement strategies to solve them in a timely manner.
  • Audit systems and evaluate outcomes regularly.
  • Contribute to the company’s IT budget and plan development.
  • Study IT infrastructure and systems performance to evaluate costs, productivity levels, and possible upgrades for efficiency.
  • Ensure all employee training is planned and completed, and facilitate IT security audits, strategy, and policies.
  • Organize integration of IT systems implementation and provide support.
  • Implement projects given by the COO when necessary.

  • Qualifications:

  • Previous professional experience as an IT Manager or related role
  • Strong knowledge of information analysis and technical management of computer hardware and software systems
  • Expert skills in data governance and data center management
  • Previous experience working in a chemical industry in manufacturing or similar
  • Hands-on experience with network administration/installation and computer networks
  • Skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Batch Metrics, Netsuite
  • Able to review technical documentation or SOPs
  • Able to work around environment with strong odors
