Logistics Coordinator position in Oakbrook, IL!

Lee Hecht Harrison is looking for a service-oriented professional to manage an important community service that requires the efforts of hundreds of volunteers daily. If you’re interested in solving problems in a non-profit organization, this position is for you!

Responsibilities:

Coordinating over 100 meal distribution routes that help service 1000’s of stops across two counties each day including bulk service

Dispatching routes in the morning, dealing with all logistics issues that arise by coordinating with staff members to make last minute corrections

Ensuring the meals maintain appropriate temperature and that storage equipment is in working order

Reaching out to local municipalities, non-profit organizations, churches, and other companies to establish partnerships for meal drop off points

Requirements:

1-2 years of experience in an Administrative, Logistics, Dispatch, or other position that coordinates colleague activity

Experience in the food service industry and a general knowledge of food safety (temperature control) highly preferred

Ability to problem solve logistical issues related to coordinating meal delivery and a strong technology acumen

Desire to build relationships with local community leaders to expand the non-profit’s service offering

Must be willing to travel and have a reliable transportation with a clean driving record

Hours:

Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 4:30pm

Compensation & Benefits:

$18.00 - $22.00 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
