LHH Recruiting Firm is seeking a skilled Sys Admin I (Cyber Security Analyst )to join our client team. This role will involve providing critical desktop hardening support and contributing to the overall cybersecurity posture of the organization. Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced cyber security analyst with a strong background in Windows desktop administration. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of system hardening techniques and be able to contribute effectively to a team focused on enhancing the organization's cybersecurity posture.Must have’s: Windows enterprise server admin experience (2019 preferred), networking firewall knowledge (CISCO), Splunk (SIEM)Nice to have: Virtualization (agnostic, but he did mention VMWare), switching experience, project/leadership experience, strong documentation and controls experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert desktop hardening support, ensuring systems are configured to meet security best practices

• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop-related issues promptly and effectively

• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate security risks

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST)

• Participate in project coordination and planning activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Windows desktop administration and troubleshooting

• Strong understanding of system hardening techniques and best practices

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST) is preferred

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Contract Details:

• 6-month contract/ 40-45/hr

• On-site presence required in the Rochester area Ontario, NY 14519

• GC or US Citizenship required No C2C No Sponsorship
