LHH is partnering with a client in the Kansas City area who is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator.
As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services necessary for our operations. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Your role is crucial in maintaining our supply chain efficiency and supporting our business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to determine purchasing needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or payments.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
- Stay updated on market trends and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
