Commercial Property Accountant

LHH/Accounting Principals is hiring for a commercial property accountant in the West Palm Beach, FL area. Our client is seeking a commercial property accountant with strong CAM reconciliations background. This is a large company to work for in a great office setting.

You are a great fit if:

· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required

· Preferred candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial property management accounting (preferably in retail)

· MRI/Yardi experience is preferred

Responsibilities to include:

· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual accrual basis financial statements, review of variance explanations for budget to actual variance.

· Perform a variety of accounting analyses

· Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger

· Review invoices for proper data entry, account coding and approval

· Prepare fixed asset/capital schedules, review and record depreciation/amortization

· Calculate accrual and other adjustments, post journal entries in connection with each period closing

· Assist Property Managers in monthly billing and utility reconciliations

· Assist Property Managers in the preparation and reforecasting of annual property budgets

· Prepare annual Common Area Maintenance, Insurance and Real Estate Tax reconciliations timely and accurately
