HYBRID REMOTE BUYER OPPORTUNITY!

LHH has partnered with a professional electronics communications organization and is actively seeking a Buyer in the Phoenix area. In this role, the candidate will provide a higher level (strategic) knowledge on how purchasing departments function. Understanding standards and best practices is critical. A qualified candidate can manage the day to day task and understand the purpose behind “why” certain aspects are done. Are you someone who maintains professionalism and pays attention to detail? 6 MONTH CONTRACT-TO-HIRE OPPORTUNITY, covering leave but will convert this person after coverage.

Pay: Up to $25/hr

Responsibilities

Purchase and delivery of materials, parts, and supplies to support manufacturing, plant operations, maintenance, engineering, business development, and general plant services

Resolve receiving discrepancies (RDR), Material Review Board (MRB), Return to Vendor (RTV) and PPV following Performance Excellence guidelines and Corporate and Plant policies/procedures

Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers

Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts and projects

Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements for electronic, mechanical, optical and electro-mechanical components.

Action all new planned buys, reschedule, cancel, and pre-delivery confirmations to supplier and monitor past due purchase order (PO) based on Performance Excellence guidelines

Qualifications

Contract redlining experience

Must have MRP experience in Materials/Procurement modules. QuickBooks Enterprise, Misys Manufacturing System and/or Fishbowl experience is a plus

Minimum of 1 year in procurement/purchasing

Proven ability to work under stress and manage multiple responsibilities

Previous titled Buyer or Purchasing role with mechanical, electronic and electro-mechanical components preferred.

Manufacturing industry experience is HUGE!

Hours

Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm - HYBRID REMOTE, at least 3 days in office
