Job Description:

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Title: SEC Financial Reporting Leader

Compensation: Up to $115k base salary annually

Setting: Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, you will:

  • Oversee the preparation of both internal and external financial statements, ensuring alignment with federal regulations and internal policies.
  • Support compliance efforts related to public company reporting requirements, including preparation of filings such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
  • Assist with accounting for share-based compensation and related disclosures.
  • Conduct research on complex accounting and reporting issues, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, external service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Manage the administration of the company’s equity compensation plan in collaboration with internal teams and third-party administrators.
  • Prepare cash flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Contribute to the month-end close process, including intercompany eliminations and investment accounting.
  • Compile supporting documentation for the annual proxy statement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required; CPA certification required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an MBA is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • Ability to perform accounting research and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
