Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Learning Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders, engineers, and professionals to develop and implement comprehensive learning and development plans. Your primary focus will be on aligning the workforce with key business strategies, including transitioning critical knowledge between people and locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Organizational Change Initiatives: Collaborate on merger and acquisition projects, assessing needs, planning, and identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
Knowledge Transfer: Work with leaders, subject matter experts, and HR to mitigate the risk of critical knowledge loss.
Project Management: Manage multiple knowledge transfer teams, utilizing effective project and strategic planning methods.
Training Needs Assessment: Perform assessments to identify critical competencies and skill gaps requiring training plans and additional documentation.
Learning Plan Creation: Leverage adult learning principles and instructional design to develop learning plans with clear objectives and engaging activities.
Implementation & Monitoring: Facilitate and monitor the progress of learning plans and team projects to ensure success.
Database Management: Assist in developing and maintaining assessment forms and databases for tracking team status and progress.
Project Milestones: Support teams in creating project milestones and timelines.
Documentation: Assist experts in documenting technical processes, knowledge, and best practices for job aides and future reference.
Coaching: Coach mentors and mentees on best practices for knowledge sharing and acquisition.
Program Improvement: Support survey and data analysis for program improvement and reporting.
Tool & Resource Maintenance: Maintain and improve tools, forms, and SharePoint site resources, including workflows.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues, and facilitate the removal of roadblocks.
Change Management: Manage change, resistance, and conflicts within teams or projects, escalating issues as needed.
Additional Support: Assist with other learning and workforce development activities as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
6+ years of experience in Instructional System Design, assessment, designing training plans, facilitation, project management, and evaluation.
Additional Qualifications:
Degree related to Adult Learning or Instructional Design preferred.
Demonstrated skills in competency assessment and designing curriculum aligned with identified needs.
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to successful, on-time completion.
Change management skills with the ability to lead, drive change, and influence subject matter experts.
Skilled in database management, data analysis, and creating report presentations for leadership.
Experience with Engineering and/or technical content preferred.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
Ability to handle ambiguity and work independently and collaboratively.
Experience in a global environment and with Fortune 500 companies preferred.
Experience working with all levels of an organization with a strong commitment to customer service.
Ability to facilitate team meetings and coach in a virtual environment.
Experience with coaching, facilitating mentoring programs, or on-the-job training programs is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others and maintain confidentiality.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Camtasia.
