We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager for a real estate investment client based in Plano, Texas. This role supports internal financial reporting across multiple entities and plays a key part in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and technical accounting documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a public accounting background out of a mid-size or a large regional firm, consulting background or a mix of public and industry accounting. This is a dynamic company with excellent work/life balance—including half-day Fridays, catered meals, and full summer remote options.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple entities.
Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
Conduct balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
Review and manage accounting for leases and right-of-use assets using EZLease.
Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit and prepare supporting schedules.
Maintain compliance with debt covenants through timely reporting.
Draft technical accounting memos and research applicable standards.
Distribute accounts receivable reports and coordinate cross-functional workflows.
Participate in ad hoc financial projects and continuous process improvement.
Client Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA or CPA-track is highly preferred.
Public Accounting out of mid-size or large regional firm
7–10 years of experience in a full-cycle real estate accounting environment.
Advanced Excel proficiency (including pivot tables and lookups).
Comfortable working independently and prioritizing tasks with minimal oversight.
Must be a strong collaborator and effective team player.
