Location: Portland, Oregon (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing HR duties and specific employee relations cases to ensure a positive work environment. This position will be responsible for addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and implementing policies that promote a healthy and productive workplace. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior.
- Collaborate with management to address performance issues and develop action plans for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Support other HR functions as needed, including recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compensation: $70k-75k, DOE
