Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Portland, Oregon (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing HR duties and specific employee relations cases to ensure a positive work environment. This position will be responsible for addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and implementing policies that promote a healthy and productive workplace. The role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior.
  • Collaborate with management to address performance issues and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Support other HR functions as needed, including recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
