Leave of Absence Specialist
LHH is looking for a Leave Specialist for our client, a Non Profit Organization located right in the heart of Queens, NY. This person will be part of a six person HR team and be the first point of contact for all benefit and leave questions. This organization has approximately 1000 employees throughout the NYC area. The ideal person for this job would be someone that likes to work independently and has had a focus on New York State benefits. This position will be starting on-site, in person with a possible hybrid option in the future. The hourly rate for this position would be between $25-35/hr contingent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for all benefits/FMLA questions
- Assist with processing employee lifecycle changes
- Audit system information on employees
- Assist with all benefits programs
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Benefits experience
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of benefits laws in multiple states
- Strong Excel skills
