Purchasing Specialist


LHH Is proactively recruiting for a Purchasing Specialist position in Randolph, New Jersey. This is a contract to hire position. It is a full-time position that is 100% on-site. The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for identifying suppliers, researching, processing purchase orders and verifying delivered items.


Responsibilities:

  • Buy new and current materials
  • Research
  • Talk to suppliers and keep open communications for product industrialization and production of supply materials.
  • Negotiate contract terms of the company and adhering to assure products and materials meet company standards.
  • Doing inventory on an annual basis
  • Resolves any conflicts in orders or billing
  • Prompt responses on inquiries and material received
  • Responsible with cost reduction, and fulfilling supplier capacity requirements, with any negotiations, process, product and material improvements, technology, in-sourcing, re-sourcing, and out-sourcing

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Must be proficient in: Microsoft Office, Excel (Expert level), ERP/SAP
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must have some knowledge in Supply Chain

  • Education:

  • Employment type: Contract to Hire
  • Salary: $70-75,000 depending on experience
