LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Junior Accountant job opportunity for the corporate office located in Richmond, California. This position is in-office 100% to begin but can transition to hybrid (In-office 3 days. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting and have 6 months to a year of accounting experience in payroll, accounts payable, or accounts receivable. The role will be responsible for reviewing and verifying various certified payroll records, submit payroll documents as required by the contract, prepare reports, work with the compliance team, prepare for audit, communicate with the project managers, project accountant, compliance manager, accounting team (Payroll & AP), and assist on other duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related filed would be required
- Strong general accounting knowledge and experience in payroll would be a plus
- Construction industry experience would be nice to have
- Software experience with an ERP system would be nice to have
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel – Intermediate)
- Excellent communications (verbal & written)
- Detailed, reliable, and organized
- Team player, a positive attitude, and gets the work done

Experience: 1 year of accounting experience (Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable)
