Payroll Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a contract Payroll Specialist to work in the office in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for assisting with the daily payroll responsibilities related to the organization and qualified candidates must have prior payroll and ADP experience with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and review time cards
  • Answer relevant questions regarding payroll and research payroll-related issues
  • Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger
  • Audit pay transactions
  • Manage end of year payroll-related reports
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of garnishment rules and processes.
  • Resolve tax related issues
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years multi-state payroll experience required
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred
  • Prior ADP experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and detail-orientation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills preferred
  • This role is a contract position working full time hours of Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Contract pay ranges from $20-25 per hour depending on experience.
