Job Details:

  • Review, prepare and reconcile all cash, receivable, revenue, deferred revenue, suspense accounts. Ensure source documentation are provided for all business units regarding the Shuttle program.
  • Prepare documentation needed to support periodic audit for federal, state, and other agencies.
  • Prepare journal entries and adjustments at month end for all accounts associated with the Shuttle program. Prepare monthly reconciliation for accounts assigned.
  • Proactively streamline and implement revenue processes and system improvement as needed.
  • Proactively ensure that revenue/expense reporting time lines are followed and managed effectively.
  • Liaison with the Shuttle department to ensure all reporting provided is analyzed, reviewed and accurate prior to billing agencies/customers.
  • Review and compare year over year data to spot inconsistent trends and patterns. Make recommendations on how to resolve.
  • Review, update, and maintain accurate accounting records including journals and ledgers.
  • Assist in preparation for the annual audits and year-end financial reporting.
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect one’s self, fellow employees, and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
  • Foster a positive customer service attitude, be open to change, and be cross-functional in order to support team and internal business partners.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Prepare desk procedures and update as needed.

  • Skills:

  • Self-starter, intellectually curious and a fast learner with high standards for accuracy
  • A rigorous analytical mind able to effectively communicate findings to non-financial partners
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems (e.g., PeopleSoft is highly desirable).

  • Employment type:

  • 4-6 month contract

  • Pay Rate

  • $35-$45 an hour depending on experience
